Bishop Hoare's body not yet recovered but boat known to have capsized in middle of typhoon. Capsized boat and two survivors washed ashore three hours later, four miles from scene of accident. All hope for safety of bishop has been abandoned. Following are names of other British casualties:- W.F. Donaldson of Butterfield and Swire with wife and two children; F. Maxwell and V. Williamson, Captain and Chief Engineer of river steamer "Hongkong". A.N. Patrick and James Wallace, Captain and Chief Engineer of steamer "Albatross". T.R. Mead, Captain of river steamer "Kwongchow". Also five men of French torpedo boat destroyer "Fronde".
